The Dancing Shadows of October Town
In October Town, where trees wore golden leaves and the air smelled of sweet pies, Halloween was the most awaited day. Every child would make a small toy to put outside their home, hoping the magic of Halloween would make it dance at midnight.
Tyler, a young boy with bright ideas, decided to create a paper puppet in the shape of a cat. Using black paper, strings, and sticks, he crafted it with care. When he put it outside, he whispered, "Dance under the moonlight, little shadow."
As midnight approached, Tyler sneaked out to see if the magic worked. To his joy, not only did his shadow cat dance, but every toy in the town was alive, casting playful shadows against the moonlit homes. The shadows danced, twirled, and even formed circles, celebrating in a silent festivity.
Children, hearing the soft rustles, peeked through windows and saw the magic unfold. They giggled and whispered, hoping the toys would keep dancing until dawn.
As the first light appeared, the toys stopped dancing and returned to their places. But the memories of that magical night remained, making it the most special Halloween in October Town.
