Yuki and the Lantern Spirits
In a quiet town in Japan, Yuki eagerly waited for Halloween. She didn't want candies or to dress up as a ghost. Instead, she had a special plan.
Every year, on Halloween, her grandmother spoke of the "Lantern Spirits" that danced in the bamboo forest. This year, Yuki wanted to see them. With a small paper lantern her grandfather made, she ventured into the forest as night fell.
The deeper she walked, the more magical the forest felt. Fireflies began to glow around her, each one coming close to her lantern and then moving away. Suddenly, Yuki realized that these weren't just fireflies. They were the Lantern Spirits!
The spirits danced around her, their glow reflecting on Yuki's mesmerized face. They led her to a clear stream where the water looked like liquid silver under the moonlight. The spirits floated over the stream, each one casting its reflection.
Feeling brave, Yuki placed her lantern on the water, watching as it floated with the spirits. As dawn approached, the spirits faded away, leaving Yuki's lantern at the edge of the stream.
Returning home, Yuki now had her own magical story to share every Halloween, about the night she danced with the Lantern Spirits.
